A life that changed in a moment

Before SHOPLOOOH existed, Garrick was a salesman for a well-known appliance company in Malaysia, and Audrey was a food technologist in Singapore. In July 2011, everything changed: an accident damaged Garrick's cervical spinal nerves, leaving him permanently in a wheelchair at just 25.

What should have been the start of a bright future became years of medication, hospital stays, and emotional struggle. For a man who thrived on being active — who could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere — it felt like the end of the road.

A new beginning, online

As e-commerce took off, Audrey and Garrick found a fresh starting point — one that fit their life. They began selling clothes online, laying the foundation for what would become SHOPLOOOH.

In the early days, Audrey juggled weekly trips between Singapore and Malaysia, handling design, inventory and photoshoots while holding a full-time job. Garrick led marketing, customer service and partnerships — all while continuing his rehabilitation. After two years, Audrey made a life-changing decision: she left her career in Singapore to commit fully to their shared dream.

Coming home

Through love and perseverance, the couple built a strong online following — and in 2016, their journey came full circle with the opening of their first physical store in Batu Pahat, the hometown they both share. Friends, family and customers gathered to celebrate a dream that had finally found a home.

Today, SHOPLOOOH has seven retail stores across Malaysia and a growing community of supporters online. Beyond clothing, Audrey and Garrick hope to share the love and resilience that carried them through.
